Hello everyone were from South Cumbria and new to this Forum. Thought we would come and introduce ourselves.
Im in the process of doing my Direct Access and intending to buy an SV. I really like the naked version but all my mates are encouraging me to go for the 650s. They think I'll get fed up with the naked on long run outs due to the lack of wind protection. They go on weekend trips all over the place including Europe and I would like to tag along. I've been out today and bought a lid and some boots and now looking about for some decent leathers. Heres what I have bought so far, My new Lid ![]() And one of my new boots (yes I did buy a pair ![]() ![]() Gaz |

If you're going to do some touring I'd definitley go for the S, it's always useful using a motorway to kill a few miles and get somewhere good, and that half fairing makes all the difference and is useful up to 100 mph and beyond.....
Looks like you've got a bright helmet there! Good luck on the DAS, are you doing the old or new style test? And welsome to the .org |

It will be the New Style test unfortunatly. I've got my CBT booked for 13th September but I cant get booked in for a test prior to the change over.
The helmet is a Chris Walker Replica, my Dad had bike and was for ever changing his gear to match his bikes colour scheme. I thought that seeing as the colours of this helmet dont match any bike then it would go with them all.....and I like it lol |

Nope, the scooby will be up for sale too as I'm off to Holland for a few years with work.
BTW the bike will be selling for less than 1275 GBP, so is ideal for a first bike in csae you have that odd low speed fall etc... Or am I just trying to talk you in to buying my bike ![]() |
