Default Skidmarx Fairing Lowers

Hi all,

Just blindly ordered some Skidmarx fairing lowers for my curvy from www.mandp.co.uk. They didn't have any example pictures on the site but they do have a returns policy so I thought worth the gamble.

Does anyone have Skidmarx lowers on their curvy? It could be up to 4 weeks until they're delivered so if someone could post a picture I'd feel a little happier with my purchase!

Cheers

Alex

Skidmarx are not made anymore but were taken over by Pyramid Plastics , have a wander over to their website and see if they are on there , typically it is nice kit .

Cheers Badger,

Are you sure about Skidmarx though? I only say because their site looks like its still up and running, and the item that I bought from MandP was even advertised as being Skidmarx product.

Checked out Pyramid Plastics but they're not even selling fairing lowers for SVs, just belly pans really. You got me worried now though....wonder whats gonna arrive in the post?!

Still looking for fitted pictures if anyone has them?

Cheers

Alex

Re: SV650S K2 Lower Fairing Bolt Kit
These are the next two popular versions, both aftermarket accessories...

Powerbronze

Skidmarx (very similar)

Hope it helps you identify them a little easier, you will need brackets though.

I had a set of both skidmarx and powerbronze lowers for my curvy.
The skidmarx ones were much better made than the powerbronze, but the design of them was IMHO a bit suspect as they very nearly touch the rear brake pedal. If you look at the picture on the post above you can see. Mine for some reason was even closer to the pedal. Also with the skidmarx they cover the sight glass for the oil completely, so you'll need to remove the lowers to check the oil. I took them back and ordered the powerbronze. (which is what I ordered in the first place, shop ordered the wrong ones!) When these arrived, the quality of them was a bit carp. I managed to get a refund on these too! In the end Because I couldn't find OEM lowers in yellow I opted for a bellypan

Cheers for info. Feel a bit more excited about receiving them now! Hopefully I'll get away with how close they are to the rear brake as I've only got little feet!

Also still hoping that the 'red' lowers from skidmarx will be a close enough match to the 'Pearl Helis Red' of my 99 Curvy!

Any ideas on that?

Cheers
