Just been pulled after a run tonight, the first (and only!!) section of clear road, wide open with nothing coming & I gave way to a bit of temptation and opened her up a bit.
Quick glance right to spot the silver Vectra hiding in the bushes... SH&T!!! Pulled over, license checked & accused of doing 101mph (which I'm struggling to believe as my bike does an indicated 110, with me ragging the tits off it) and this was nowhere near flat out. Blah Blah Blah later, "letter will be coming out in the post, could be a loss of your license..." Is that it? Is there anything I can / should do or am I pretty much stuck over the barrel without grease now!? I'm not denying I may have been speeding, but I really am finding 101 hard to believe... |

Wait for the paperwork to come through the door and then get legal advice.

Did they show you any evidence of the alleged speed?
Either on video or laser gun? |

Definitely sounds like scare tactics and they weren't able to get a lock on you at all - it's much harder to do to a bike.
As Fizz says, wait for the paperwork depending on what they exactly said to you that could be 6 months that you're on tenterhooks IIRC (someone please correct me if I am wrong) |

If so & in the very unlikely case (IMO) of anything coming of it you should have a good defence if you can prove it's not capable of 101 |

Bugs
![]() I've told this story before but I'll tell it again ![]() I once asked a copper handling of those 'hairdryers' to point the damn thing on me just so I could see how accurate my speedo was....yeah, I like to live dangerously ![]() ![]() The guy wasn't keen to do so. What's the problem officer? I'm the one taking the risk, no? His reason was because it was very difficult to get a reading off motorbikes. Well, knock me down with a feather..... Those frigging things lie like hell and only a lying or ignorant officer will swear blind that they are accurate.....whilst looking straight into your eyes. Ben |

I get away, in a metaphysical sense on a separate plane of existence with 110 in a 60 and 80/90 in a 40 almost daily... I'm a hypothetical bad man- in my mind. Although I always sit at 30 exactly in the country road on my route, I feel bad speeding around population.

just don't go telling him that you've done 101mph before and you were nowhere near that speed.. that is one way of incriminating yourself.
