Default Washing Woes

The past few times i've washed my bike it has run like a bag of spanners for a good while afterwards. I must be getting water somewhere i shouldn't be but where to check?

I've sealed the plugs off with silicon grease but the rest of the HT system is untouched. Where else should i be sealing?

Do you use a power washer? That can force water into places it should never go.

No power washer but i gave the engine block a good clean with bar keepers friend and its not been right since. I'll check the dealer mode and see if anything flags up.
