Fitted Hagon springs to front and kwak suspension to rear last year.
Since then my bike when I go round corners/junctions/roundabouts at slow speed the bike really wants to 'tip in'. Is this just the result of better suspension? Also tracks more when i go over cracks in road, edges of road repairs, etc. Have done approx 6K miles since bought it last year and rear is starting to square off but would that make the front tip in? Any thoughts would be appreciated - give me something to work on this weekend. cheers |

I always found that squared off tyres made it intially reluctant to steer and then all of a sudden it would tip in very quickly so if thats what you're feeling then it might be your tyres are squared off, that would certainly IMHO tie up with the bike tracking oddly over rough surfaces.

The kwak shocks are a little longer than standard, could be you're just feeling the results of more aggressive geometry?

Could just be better suspension. Stiffer front and higher rear giving that impression of tipping in more sharply.
I was just wondering if anyone recognised symptoms and immediatelly would say " Aha, thats XYZ etc." Never having ridden anything alse I don't have a benchmark. |

I learnt a rather stupid lesson with mine.....have you checked the front tyre pressure? I had a faulty front tyre valve that kept leaking and the bike felt like it was going to tip over when I tried to turn.

I would say tyres.Worn tyres cause handling to go off. Most dont notice until a new set go on.

Are the fork tubes in the normal position or are yokes dropped down over them? If normal then the fork tops should be near enough level with the top of the top yoke.
If they've been dropped significantly it will add to the problem especially with a longer rear shock. |
