Am i banned?????

Howdy Doody folks

Well today i think i may(hopefully not) have got myself in a spot of bother.

As the weather seemed to clear up nice this afternoon i thought i would take a ride on to Colin Appleyards at keigthley,so set off and got as far as the bypass at skipton where the little chef and travelodge is(for anyone who might know it).

As the road was clear both sides apart from 2 vehicles right in front of me i could,nt resist giving the rr a fistfull,so opened it to redline in all gears 1st 75mph 2nd 108 3rd 132 4th around 150+(by then it was eyes firmly fixed on the road)as anyone who knows this road it,s a massive straight.

Iwas almost halfway doing xxxmph when you come to a lay by,at this lay by around 50/60 yards before me on the opposite side of the road facing the opposite way to which i was going(ie i was going towards the front of the vehicle)i noticed a white van,so naturally it was breaks on and slow down as quick as possible,by the time i got level with the vehicle i would have still been over the ton, this is when my worst fear was confirmed,it was the rozzers,even though i'm not sure if the rear doors were open with a camera pointing out.


Question is....if there was a camera will they have been lined up to film vehicles on their side of the road(coming towards their back doors...oo-er)or can they get both sides of the road.....if so i may be fooooked.

It'll be for their side. I did the same at 135 when I first got my bike.....Panic? me?! ...

You're gonna have to have a couple of weeks of sleepless nights I reckon matey. No telling for certain until then. Best of luck tho! How many points are you sitting on at the mo?

At the moment i have 9.....but only 3 are valid,as i havent sent my licence back to have the others scrubbed off.

Points don't matter I think. Over a ton = more or less automatic ban? And a fee so massive you will have to remortgage your house. But you may be lucky and hear no more. Would you believe they are going to sit there on Monday afternoon?

Last time the rozzers were on the bypass, the bike cops were sat on all the roundabouts, so it was blatently obvious a scamera would be parked up somewhere.

And as Hovis said usually the van is parked up on the keighley-Skipton side, not the other way around...hope your luckee matey

If you're on about the time I was with you in march ish then that was an ANPR van not scamera

I really don't get this 'scamera' term?? Why is it a scam? You speed, you get court - tough sh!t - no scam, just you own fault. I'll admit, I'm no angel on the road, but then again I don't really ride that much on the road for fun anymore.

When they disguise the cameras? Hide the vans? Sit at the bottom of hills? Sit in unnecessary 30 or 40 zones...

It's because they aim to catch as many as possible, NOT to catch those riding dangerously.
