I've bought a set of Decals for the curvy SV650. It's had a custom paint job, so the previous ones were removed. Anyone any pointers?
Does it need any prep beforehand and are there any tips for smoothing out the air from the sticker? Also, does anyone know of anywhere where I can find detailed measurements for placement? Ta Steve |

Mornin!
This might help ![]() ![]() Asside from the above, water with a tiny bit of washing up liquid mixed in (as an application fluid) will make getting the bubbles out a lot easier. As you press the water out, the adhesive makes contact and sticks. Any remaining bubbles can escape since they're actually water bubbles and can slide between the adhesive and plastics. In terms of placement, have a look at a mates bike or on the net to get a rough idea of where they should be, and then line them up where you think it looks best? Hope this helps ![]() edit: oh and squeeze the bubbles from the centre outwards, then any creases will be pushed to the edge and disappear.
