Default KTM Superduke

I have a demo ride tomorrow, on a KTM Superduke!

Can't wait... Anyone else had a ride??

Had my SV650S for 2 ½ years and while I know it has more to offer, I'd like a bit more power and better suspension.

The Superduke really captivates me, it's different, rare and promises v-twin torque and noise with that leftfield design. Slighty worried about going naked, but a mate with a Z1000 says it's no issue to him and my riding is a 10 mile commute, and the odd sunday morning blast. Very rare long-distance trips.

I've even got the blessing from the Mrs!!

They sounded pretty good at Cadwell on monday.

Pretty nice from what I hear, just watch out for a slightly snatchy throttle.

I have read a lot about the fuelling... the guys on superduke.net have made formal complaints to KTM UK about it. I can't belive that a company would release something THAT bad to the market! I'm hoping the problem is exaggerated by people used to IL4's getting used to a twin... afterall the SV isn't exactly brilliant at low speeds going between open and closed throttle.

Hmmm. yes. But it is probably poor fueling... not enough of a smooth transition from no or little throttle to some.

(mention my bike again...) when I got it with standard chip it was a little rough like the SV but I chipped it and now its soooo smooth.

A PCIII I expect would sort it... Though I could be wrong.

The dealer option Akrapovics and dealer remap sort it apparently... I've done a bit more research now and it seems lots of owners don't even notice it.

Can't wait... more than worried i'm going to put my money where my mouth is!

an alternative to chipping, find the ecu, use some foil from a kitkat wrapper (needs to be from kitcat because the chocolate residue on the foil has certain tuning properties), a toothbrush, some toilet duck and an old el paso fajita dinner kit. With a bit of direction from yorkie chris, you could have it running sweet as a nut within an hour
