Check you've not got a death grip on the bars, it's hard to do at first, but the right thing to do is make sure you grip with your knees and keep your hands lightly on the bars.

Check you've also got the standard big, black, heavy metal bar end weights on the bars. Some people replace these with very light anodised alloy ones, which do a much less efficient job at dampening out the vibes.

try flapping your elbows on the straights. You may look an idiot but it shows your arms are relaxed cos you can only do it if your arms are relaxed.

The flapping arm thing really does work (also, do it before corners to relax your arms, helps alot with cornering).

What sort of revs do you ride the bike at?

I had this on my SV it was due to the front wheel being off balance.
