Excuse me geeks, can any of you nylon clad boffins recomend me a registy cleaner, thats free and works?

I believe it's still free to use the basic version.

A dirty registry can slow down the operating system as the bad entries still get searched even if they are wrong or broken. This is normally caused by bad install/uninstall programs not cleaning up entries correctly.
