Default Mobile Phone Contracts (Orange)

Grrrrr.....

Why is it that you can take out a contract over the phone, give them bank details etc, yet when you want to cancel the bloody contract you have to send them a letter???

Annoys me how there is no information on how to go about the cancellation on the website too.

They make it easy for you when they know money will be coming their way and hard when it's the opposite!!

/rant over!

I think the contract only becomes into being when you insert the SIM card and register it.

You usually get 14 days to decide whether or not it is suitable for you so I believe that as long as you return it within the 14 days you will have no problems

The contracted 18month period is almost up, about 1 and a half months left. I know that I read somewhere that the contract won't be stopped unless I instruct them to do so.

Just lack of information on how to cancel it! I'm thinking I'll just send a letter to customer services or something, it'll get to the right department eventually!

... I assure you the company will get you to court to pay out your contract.

Only way you'll get out of a contract is to demonstrate that the phone company has breached it... there are ways to do this. Google it.
