In this day and age of people being injured, hurt or abused for standing up to people......was I right or wrong,
Now my areas isnt the worse by any means, but as usual some lads down the street have a field bike.. I'v seen them ride it up and down the road a few times, but never confronted them, they bugger of quick enough.. Today I was sorting the rear brakes on my car (working in the road), and they kept coming up and down the road on this damned bike, Now I had has some bad news today, and the car was being a bitch to work on and I was at my witts end with this stupid 2 stroke bike being ridden illegally up and down the road... So I stopped him and confronted, him.. I was given a mouth full of abuse and told I didnt know who I was messing with... all I asked was him to pack it in and take it to a field.. (of which there a few), he turned around and wheeled it back up ti his mates who hurled abuse at me from the end of the road.... subsequently they dissapeared. is it worth it, i mean really.. today I snapped and was all for wrapping my crow bar into his front wheel , I did then speak to one of the locals who I get on with well and was told he was nothing to worry about... but what would you do? easy life or confront? they did make some comment about my bike being noisey... they did miss the point about thiers not being road legal in anyway shape or form... ![]() |

Depends how accessible my valuables were... the buggers can be vindictive and single you / your property as the target for their future abuses / fun (in their eyes)!
Luckily I live in a nice area so not had any first hand experience, but been told a few stories of things happening to other people, such as keying of car,s which just so happen to occur the day after the confrontations! Have no idea why they would want to ride a dirt bike down the road anyways, dirt bikes are so much more fun in fields / tracks! |

There were some pikeys who moved in 2 doors down when i was about 6. The big fat one a couple of years older than me stole my watch, so dad went round and took it back. Mum was running late one day and wouldnt help jump start their van, we had 4 slashed tyres next day.
Then, a few months a go, I was in the pub and the big fat one started an argument with my sister, and now there are no more problems ![]() Whether its right or wrong in somebody elses opinion, I'd rather do something than sit by and do nothing. |

yep, you were right to. I have it all day long with some pillock on a scooter or some mini thing that sounds like a duc x YC exhaust type thing x mini moto. Other day they had a wheelie bin attached to the back one way then stood on the back wheel the next.
It usually takes me to go out and tell em in a big ruffle of proper biker burd feathers, and lots of bellowy FFFF words to get em to move on. Then I hide with my heart in my mouth all day. I get fed up with em and tell them constantly why to wear helmets, why not speed, why they will hit a car, why they could end up with scaffolding etc etc Then I go and flip my bike in front of the culprit house....and they came and helped me get my bike right way up. Ya see it depends on how much respect they have for you..soemtimes they just don't think while they are having fun, but they will bugger orf when confronted. But only sometimes. I think you did right
