i have been unfaithfull - new toy

i popped in to the honda deallership on sunday, and i walked out feeling very guilty! i was also feeling much lighter!

on saturday i am picking up a new younger bit on the side.

couldn't resist!

but i am still keeping ye old faithfull SV

its nice!!-my mates got the same bike (different colour) and it is lovely.

the dealers offered me a test ride, they filled it to the brim with petrol and said have fun! and i did! lol

i was concerned about the lack of low down torque before riding, and below 4-5000rpm it is gutless! i thought this 26000mile test bike was broken! but as soon as you hit that mark, the power increases exponentially right up to its peak 180bhp at 12000rpm, no need to go to the 13k rev limit. the power is unreal!! the handling and feedback is unreal! i found a nice long straight, checked it out, then went full throttle, the bike hits 100mph in first gear!! and through out the gears the front wheel is floating and hovering over the ground, but the new electronic steering damper does its job, front end is so stable, even when its off the ground and landing, goodbye tank slappers still... i realise no need for full throttle! lol. anyway continuing through the gears (about 50-75% throttle), im hitting speeds i have never been before, my leather jacket which is a bit loose around my arms starts flapping around in the wind like it was cotten, and it hurts as it slaps across the skin! i look down at the speedo, and the speedometer is a digital character display, the refresh rate is not the highest, it reads 140 - 150 - 157 - 163! and this is all in the breif moment i look down, the world was flashing past me at an incredible rate, i bottled it and backed off the throttle, dropped the anchors and the speed dissapeard instantly, so smoothly, felt like i had jsut braked from 90!

i love the SV, but this is something else!

You forgot to add that this was all done on your own private road

of course, it would be illegal on a public road, and i would advise against anyone doing this on a public road

If you do that on public roads on a regular basis I'd recommend you book a table for two and take your driving licence out for a nice goodbye meal.

Beautiful bike, i had a test ride on one when they came out. Everything about it is ultra quality! The ride is amazing brakes are phenomenal and the power well scary fast doesn't quite cover it!

My perfect bike(in white), the only bike i can think of that i wouldn't modify at all.
