Thumbs up First ride out since the off!

I finally managed to bolt up the fairings (not 100% fit, but solid enough), boosted the battery and fired up my precious bike!

With a broken-ish (still) left femur I managed to fling my leg over the bike and toddle off for a ride. Luckily, no flash backs or overwhelming fear, although my a*se did twitch when I rung its neck in second! This was followed by a sanity check and a vast reduction in speed, which is where it stayed!

Bike felt a bit funny going round right hand turns (which might have just been me head!) so my brother took it out. He has not been on a bike for about 10 years and couldn't stop grinning for long enough to tell me if he thought it felt funny too!

Anyway, it's good to get back in the saddle! Bike has been put away again awaiting the fitment of my new undertray and hugger next weekend (prior to paint). Still need to get a new end can (Warrior is on the cards) and front tyre needs replacing before the bike comes out for good (and back to my house for my full attention!!)

Well done you, make sure you take a look at it just incase something is a miss re the funny feeling in the right handers.

I had an off on a left hand bend but for some reason I fear right hand bends now alot of it is in ya head but the 2nd opinion of ya brother is worth giving it the once over.

Don't worry about that, mines been broken since June 2004 and I have no problems on the bike (or coming off it appears).

Quick check for you, full lock both ways, measure barend to tank and see if they match, then have a look at wheel alinement.

Over the last couple of years I've ridden threw a great deal of discomfort, but can now manage a fair few miles quit well and am once again enjoying the bike, it's worth keeping at it, as it does come back.

Cheers Mark.

you can get some one else to do it not sure of price. other wise its not easy, ive had to just check measurements from both sides of the wheel to vairous points on the forks. lock to lock and mainly get it looking striaght im going to get it double checked by a garage least they will have all the jigs.
