Anyone had experience with Dainese gear, particularly the gloves? Is it good kit or are you basically paying a huge premium for the name?

ive got trousers ... and they are brilliant, well worth the money.
Gloves i know little about but my alpinstar Gp-plus gloves have held up 2 crashes and still look good as knew so i would recomend giving them a look. |

I have dianese leathers and they are very comfy and very good quality. When side by side brands like RST there really is no comparing, I have seen the stiching coming undone on RST whilst they are still hanging in the shop let alone when in an off situation. Also got a Dianese Back protecter which was more comfy on me than any other brand.
However, I was looking at gloves this weekend and tried dianese ones but they just didnt seem to fit my hand, they were either to tight or to much room in them.....ended up buying some Alpinestar SP-1's instead

comfort wise they are untouchable i have a set and nothing could touch them for fit and cut crash protection though probably ok but certainly theres stronger leathers out there.also i have alpinestars gloves the gp pro gloves which are **** hot and i use them to commute to work and go everywhere in them.

I don't know their gloves, but I don't trust their leathers, they're made to look nice first and foremost. They're lovely to wear though... But then, what works for gloves doesn't always work for leathers, Furygan make great leathers but rotten gloves so maybe dainese make better gloves than leathers. Comfort and feel counts for a lot with gloves after all.
I suppose to be fair, I've never asked all that much of the other gear I've worn, dainese gear would almost certainly have done fine in all my crashes and would have been nicer to wear than most of it. So maybe a bit less safety naziism from me ![]()

I picked up a full set of textiles and gloves a couple of years ago and have worn them almost every day through (a lot of) rain and shine. They have been fantastic, comfortable, warm (I hardly need to zip the thermal liners in) and a good fit. Recently however they have started to let some water in. Rather embarsingly around the crotch area, making my look like I've had a little accident on teh way to work
![]() Oh, and the armour fits in exactly the right place and feels very sturdy (although I have no plans to test it out ![]() |

The one thing I noticed about the Dainese gloves I have is that they dry supremely quickly.
Thick winter ones A whole new world to my first pair of Frank Thomas.... ![]() |
