There is something wrong with your bike. The TRE won't fix it. It actually doesn't do anything and you can DIY it using nothing more than a pair of snips and with a pointy a resistor.
Not sure whether the dealer can see whether one has been fitted but as it is a K8 isn't it still under warranty? Go back to the dealer and get it fixed then think about the TRE.

It won't help with the problem you have, here is a previous post I have made on here....

The SV650 is only very slightly retarded, there are no gains to be had other than the imaginary butt dyno thinking otherwise. It has been proven and tested so many times, it makes no performance increase!!!

The products (G-Pack, etc...) are aimed at bikes which actual do have a lot of a ignition retard, the problem is the product list lists the SV650 in its fitting guide and everybody reads the hype and product blurb and instantly beleives it will do the same to their SV650. This is utter rubbish, the product description/blurb is aimed at Hayabusa's, GSXR's etc, not a SV650!

Countless tests by proper SV650 tuners have proven it does not work and the people that say it does state the same thing "I fitted it and went for a ride a felt a real difference", this is your imaginary butt dyno telling you you have just increased the power by 10bhp because you fiddled with something!!! Utter rubbish....

Sorry, rant over now and I am climbing back into the straight jacket.

Speak to any true SV tuner, the usual known BS'ers will tell you it works but the professionals will tell you the truth!
