Default Exhaust question

Well my new bandit 650 arrives on friday to replace my sv650(rip) and im just wondering if i put a stubby exhaust on from 1 mile will it do any damage or should it be fine? (its a fuel can btw)

I would be inclined to do after the first service. Race cans can alter the air fuel mixture and some times make the engine run really lean which is the last think you want on a new bike. It may also invalidate your warranty.

lol i was going to get another sv but just fancied a change and dealers have said it wont void the warranty

They are supposed to be nice bikes. I hope you like yours. Im not an IL4 fan is all so I had to kick you a little

the main reason i ask is because you can get the bandit 1250 streetfighter with a yoshi can as standard so was just wondering if it would cause any damage before its run in

If the carburetion isn't upset then there is no problem.

But the 1250 is probably setup specicly for this can.

Check with the dealer if they say the warranty will be fine with a race can fitted. Will they fit it and set it up? If they do and it goes bang take it back and get them to sort it.
