Default Chain oil / wax

Anybody recomend a good oil or wax for the chain.
I intend to get a scotoiler fitted in the near future but for now will have to settle for doing it myself.

I have used both Muc-off and Wurth in the past an found them fine...I prefer the Wurth stuff tho as it seemed to fling less....

Planing on keeping it for quite a while as yet.
Doing about 80-100 mile a day monday to friday with some small ish rides in the evenings once or twice a week and weekends can be nothing or 200 mile+.

Scottoiler is ideally what you want then IMHO.

Another vote for the Wurth dry lube till you get it installed. Personally I hate chain wax. looks cack and it goes everywhere. If the mechanic that services my bike puts chain wax on my chain again I am going to rip his nads off.

With that mileage I think you can justify the Bl00dy scotoiler, even so it hurts me to say that

Is that not a little bit extreme?

What do you have against Scottoilers?

Not much mate. But they are relatively expensive and as majority of people do only few thousand miles each year I think it is difficult to justify the cost. Buy a bike, keep it for 2 years, do 4k over two summers ... you cannot justify the cost can you?

And they take a lot of valuable room under you seat too.

Otherwise great. If I bought a bike with one on I would leave it on. So it is not personal

I thought that was supposedly the disadvantage of the Scottoiler????
Having silver wheels fling off shows big time.
I've always heard you need black wheels to fit a Scottoiler.

Can one have both a Scottoiler and clean wheels???
