When you get into car detailing, it's amazing the quality of shine you can get with relative ease.

I enjoy washing my car, it's only a Skoda Superb, but after a wash, clay-bar rub, going over with a very mild abrasive to get rid of swirls, then several coats of wax and polymer top coat, two things happen.

Number one, the car looks amazing, real deep, lustrous shine.

Number two, Mrs BP get in a huff 'cos I haven't done her car!

It passes the time, lets my mind wander, does no-one any harm.

I'll get my coat.....or anorak.......!

Isn't that wax £6k for life at least, unlimited refills? Sure I've read about this before - that guy might even be the guy with a detailing company on PH (he uses some form of expensive, unlimited refill, wax).

I think this guy is slightly more excessive, maybe not in the cost of the product though but still:

VERY picture intensive.

I've just been reading some of that; does the guy actually drive the sodding car?
He'd probably **** a brick driving down your average road in case he gets a speck of dust on the bonnet :/

That guy must have spent so much time and money on it...the work and detailing is very nicely done, shame at the end of the day it's just an Astra! If only he had done that on a nicer car!

Didn't this guy have a blue one before? The anal attention to detail about 0ppm water rather than the attention to detail of simply buying a proper car rather than a FWD grocery getter in the first place...

I think this finally proves the premise that you can't polish a turd, but there's always someone to have a go.
