Default Insurance.

Hi guys wondering if anyone out there can give me some advice.

When i first passed my cbt i had a dt125, which someone decided to borrow. Unfortuantly they did not return it. So i was forced into a claim as it was brand new. This was back in 2004 but im dammed if i can remeber the exact date, and havent got any paper work (moved house ect). Is there any way i can find this information out? As if it is over 5 years ago it will help my premium.

thanks in advance

Rob

police may know - electronic records and all that stuff - shellywoozle may be able to let you know if its possible.

i wouldn't bother declaring it to be honest, although i can understand why you would. i can never remember the dates of my accidents (Car ones !!!!) so i just say the first of what ever month i think they were in.

well if were talking for insurance purposes they only need to know of accidents or claims for 3 years, anything after that eg. 5 years ago for you, you dont have to declare, have i got the right end of the stick here?

as quoted by hastings insurance -

Please note that we will use the Claims and Underwriting Exchange database to validate the claims history of all drivers, so it is important that all previous losses are disclosed. Have you had any motorbike accidents, claims or losses in the last 3 years? Have you had any motoring convictions or endorsements (including fixed penalties) in the last 5 years, or have any prosecutions pending?
