Default Hows your luck this week?

Got to be better than mine.

Saturday, bike goes in for a service. Dad worked 6 hours doing a full service, valve checks, lubed up, new front tyre. £200, a steal considering how much work was done including a front tyre. Alls cool, it needed to be done.

Sunday, go to get bike, get there to find it is spotless, engine been treated to protect from winter salt. She looks like new, ride her home, it p1sses down, by the time im home its bloody filthy agian.
Monday night shower breaks, have to order a new one, ooo another £160 out my pocket, nice….
Tuesday, go to a doctors for a previous appointment, get to clinic, look down, rear tyres flat (could feel it going down en route). New rear rubber, “oh they don’t do the 020 anymore” so I need to get an 021. Another £113.
Plus my friends just got me a ticket for the Emirates stadium (arsenal), another, £40.

This week is not a good week for my finances.

Just imagine what it could have been if good old pater didn’t work on the bike and I’d have had it done by a mainstream dealer…!! OWWWW

Donations for my poor fund welcome.

Why can't you repair the rear? Can still find 020s around. I hear the 021 wears much quicker than 020, maybe consider something completely different

Done at the bike garage, and 6 hours @ £55ph, well i'd say i've made a saving. Don't foget oil, filters etc. OK so its not £95 worth (Tyre was £105), but its still a huge saving, and he did work most of the day.

Theres favours, and taking advantage. I like to at least try to look after my old man sometimes, he lets me ride his bikes

Stu, only had 1000 or so miles left on it. Not really worth taking it off, repairing it, only to take it off in a couple of weeks time.

Guess i get me first dual compound experience though It shouldn't got down any faster as the centre material is the same I thought, just the sides are softer rubber?
