which visor

time for a new tinted visor for my shoei xr1000
ive seen a funky orange one but would i get pulled by plod as offten as a blacked out one or should i just get a legal tinted job
and finally do they actually help with glare and what not

I've got the dark tinted one mate, it's an absolute necessity for my commute to work cos on days like today the sun is really low and directly in my eyes all the way into Manchester.

I always carry my clear one too (in the pouch you saw me putting around my waist last week when you called me a tourist! ) and I just swap them over as and when I need to. Technically not legal but I've not had a problem yet.

yep, go for the Dark tint one (got one on my XR1000) and keep ya clear with you in a pouch to be safe.

If its daytime use you'll probably br fine with a black one. Just don't keep it on in the dark!!

I've used full dark tint visors for over a decade now and I've never had any trouble with plod over it. Coloured ones (or iridium coated) are uber-gay and their use should carry a custodial sentence.

Just make sure if you go out, and there's even the slightest chance of it getting dark before you're home, that you carry a clear one as well. It's no fun riding any distance at speed with the visor up.

i use a dark tint too, heard the irridium ones can scratch easily
