Default Christmas Present For me... Nitro Power?

This time of year I usually like to buy myself a christmas prezzie and start a new hobby, and this year it will be a combined pressie with kitten, so I can push the boat out a little...

My bike will be stored now untill such times as A I move into my new place & B) Build a secure shed so Ill need a petrol style fix..

Both of these are now very likley to be post christmas thanks to a Vendors awful solicitors...

any hoo.. I cant fly models as I crash them, so having recently reverted to being about 10, as I got boared with grown up stuff like mortgages etc, I have turned my attention to Nitro monster trucks...

Now the advance in electric models now means that that I can buy the same Size and beasty machine in electric without the annoying ripping sound from the nitro engines..

My new place should be in the middle of no where, with very few neighbours...however that might make the Nitro noise even more annoying.

So what I am actually trying to get at is if a new neighbour moved in then started to be noisy with a Tuono and a nitro monster truck, whould you Shun them forever...? Or should I be polite and buy the electric version...

over to the t'org

Who cares what neighbors think, get nitro. I know you're not a cabbage who'll be blasting it round at 3am, so there won't be a problem.

Noise wouldnt bother me as long as you let me have a go

I dont see the problem as long as its not done during anti social hours.

i'd agree with the above, as long as its not at silly hours you'll be fine.

saying that, my neighbours give me looks for any noise, but they are old.

there must be a nitro rc forum out there? You could meet up with like minded nitro's and have race meetings/decent places to thrash around without anyone kicking up a fuss?

I think it was Viney that said that the best way to deal with neibours that complain about noise is to show up with a big bottle of whisky, and you know, make freinds with them...

I have already met one of them who proceeded to say... "oh yes we all love christmas around here... we will get together as we do love to drink"...
