Bike tax set to double- sign the petition!

Just had this link sent by a mate who’s has come across it another forum, apparently bike road tax is set to double in 2009!!

To be fair any attempt to raise it for one engine size, sets a pathway to raise other sizes tax.

I dont sign these thing though.

Smells like a debunked repost to me - I'm sure it turned up before the last full budget.

The Chancellor also announced at Pre-Budget Report 2008 that vehicle tax rates for motorbikes and Heavy Goods Vehicles will be frozen in 2009.

My reading of that says that 125cc commuters and scooters will remain at £15 at least until April 2010.
