Default Help identifying tune on guitar

On messing about with note plucking I often "stumble across" a note that starts me off on a tune I recognize and I find the rest of the notes by ear. However there is this one tune that I've learnt the first bit of but I don't know any more so can't complete the tune! I can't for the life in me remember where I know this tune from so I'm wondering if any of you avid guitarists can help me...

Unfortunately, I only know names of strings and cords, not individual notes on the noteboard. So I've looked up a diagram and found the notes corresponding to my tune. It's not very long, but I have absolutely no clue as to what this tune is, could be a modern one, classical one or oldie, an advert even!

So using the diagram below this is my tune:

FGFGFGFG
EGEGEGEG X2
FGBGFGBG
EGCGEGCG

I know this is ever so slightly random and probably doesn't make much sense but I would be much obliged if someone recognizes it to let me know! Thankyou for reading!

My guitar's just a little acoustic btw

EDIT: Have recorded it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jcHSCJd0K8

Is there some program you could punch the notes in to re-produce the tune and then post it here, or even record yourself and post the .wav file here?

Alternatively, create a YouTube performance for us to listen to?

Sorry,

I've played it over and over & it doesn't mean anything to me.

thankyou very much for trying though

I guess I could try record. If anyone has such a program as mentioned by Nobbylad would save me a job lol

To me that sounds like the song Chopsticks by Liz Phair on her Whip-Smart album. There is a sample if you search Amazon.

Yes it's definitely the first bit, but the next bit in that song doesn't match the tune in my head Thankyou though, I've never heard of this song but perhaps it's been on an advert or something? I may have just made up the next bit lol

here's the link to the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTQ_HfLtXyE
