Default Chimay classic races

Just in case it catches anyone's interest, I'm more than likely to be going to the Grand Prix des Frontières at Chimay (Belgium) in July, the weekend after the AR, camping with a few like-minded drunkards from UKRM. For those of strong constitution and minimal aversion to foul language, it may be worth a jolly...

Basically it's a weekend of classic (20s-80s) bike racing round a 9 mile road circuit with minimal safety precautions and it's right on the doorstep of one of the major Trappist breweries. Current plan is to Eurotunnel it across either late on the Thursday or early on the Friday, camp out for the weekend, then head back on the Monday.

Short of being a competitor, you'll never get closer to the racing. It's also dirt cheap (like 25 euros or so for a weekend pass).

Anyone interested?

Sounds like a great idea, but not much fun unless you have a bike to ride there

Hmmm, I'm thought the only light required for a day time MOT is a brake light.

Sounds like a really cool trip. Far too cool for me so I wont be attending.

I believe Lozzo of this parish recently had his CBR6 track bike MOT'ed without a single light on it.

+1

A bit strapped seeing as I don't know if I'll get paid this month.

Sniff.

oooh Chimay and the ardennes in general are lovely places for bike riding (and beer drinking!). I have far too many holidays planned so can't make this really, but I'll bet you have a damn good time!
