Just had a pair of very pleasant JWs at the door, asking if i thought there would ever be peace in the world? I asked if that had anything to do with George Bush retiring but apparently they'd have come round anyway

So, the topic moved on to evolution, they tried all the basics like "it's only a theory" and "did we evolve from monkeys" and we went through the whole spectrum of topics from carbon dating to the future of the human species

Anyway, after about 20 minutes of having their arguments disected one said to the other "you know what, i think we should be going" - can you believe it? A JW asking to leave when i actually had more to explain!!!

Anyway, the twin bladed sword of knowledge and logic prevails, i wonder if i'll get this house blacklisted back at JWHQ

Sorry for the ramble, it took all my strength not to bust out laughing when i closed the door...

i was in my mates house once when they came, he asked me to get rid of them, so i invited them in

My folks stopped having JW visits after sending them next door to the Plymouth Brethren....

lol, my grandad used to keep them talking for hours, but always asked the silent one all the questions, it used to get them rather annoyed They got the jist after a while and his house was blacklisted, never came back

Next time ask them why their religion forbids playing chess, or owning wind chimes

I find slaming the door whilst muttering about murders and getting my favourite sword works a treat!

Having said that, my Dad just used to shout "Feck off" at them, which coming from a 6"4' rugby playing prop forward used to work rather well!

Used to be in the same class as a Plymouth Brethren, he was a nice enough fella and never once tried to impose his religion on anyone else, unlike the JW's!
