Firstly, please excuse my pc dumbness.
I usually use a Creative and sync from Windows media but my wife has just got an I pod and we have just put a few albums on her I Tunes. The albums have been downloaded from the original CDs but for some reason her I tunes has put a few tracks under different icons and omitted the tracks from the other icon. Why is this ????? |

Have a check at what format the songs are. I guess that is what you mean. Are they Mp3, AAC, WMP and all that carp. That might be the issue.
Let me/us know and I can try to help with it. ![]() |

What do you mean by icon?
You mean the artwork that iTunes has assigned to the tracks is different although all of them are from the same album? |

The format should be the same for all the tracks on the album surely.
EG, Take That, the circus has 2 icons. First icon has all the tracks apart from track 1 and will accept the album artwork. The second icon has only track 1 and doesn't want to know the album artwork. ![]() ![]() |

Ha ha no way, I fixed this problem today.
Right you need to highlight both albums (click the first then press ctrl and click the 2nd or others) and then right click on one of the highlighted albums and go to get details. Then you have to make sure album name and album artist is the same. Click the tick next to the two of these and then put in the right album name and album artist details. If that doesn't work, do the same thing upto the get details, this time tick all the boxes (except album and album artist, and the track name) and leave them all blank. Then OK that. That should be it... If not then ![]() |

Ahh i see, you've got the 'Cover Flow' thing up. Go onto the list of the songs below that, highlight all of the tunes from the album (inc. track 1), right click and click Get Info (might be 'Properties' cause you're on a pc...) and just retype all of the track info in each box ie. Artist, Album, Year etc.
iTunes is a bit retarded sometimes, I made a playlist on the ipod earlier today and it put songs i hadn't even selected onto it, and missed other ones. Bit stupid really. |

Cheers ThEGr33k that looks like it has sorted it. Although I have done it the wrong way round on one of the albums and the artwork wont accept. I will rip the album again tomorrow and do it the right way round. The others worked a treat though. Cheers again.
