Default Would this be a wise choice or not - full power ECU?

For the past few months I've really been seriously considering weather or not to swap the ECU's on my bike to the full power one. I've had my SV coming up to a year and 4 months and as it's my only form of transport so I'd like to think I'm mature enough to take it to the next step.

My head is telling me it's a bad idea but my heart is saying go for it. I've spoken to a few people both in and out of the org and no one has warned me against it. But afterall I'm only a youngster and sometimes we make silly choices so I thought I'd open this up for a few adult opinions. Plus this is one of those choices that once you've made it, there's no going back.

tbh while i was following you on NW4 although your bike wasn't as quick as mine in a straight line the difference was so small i chalked it up to you being a bit of a fat bugger, didn't know you were restricted

no doubt the difference is greater on the track or on a peaky 600, but i reckon the SV works just fine without being full power

it'll be fine if you don't stuff it if you do you've got invalidated insurance to worry about then say goodbye to your license as that's 6 point's i think your choice but for the sake of a few month's riding what is one of the best to restrict bike's around i wouldnt bother.

The only reason not to do it, is the fact that IIRC you're on a restricted license still.

Wait it out, and de-restrict it when its legal for you to do so.

I'm not going to preach, you know what you're getting into if you do decide to de-restrict it. At the end of the day its up to to you, but in your position I wouldnt do it.
