Thought my anti virus software was reasonably good, norton, up to date, best i could buy..

Computers been running a bit weird, so did a full system scan with norton, only 1 infected area, a tracking cookie (no big deal).

Mate suggested this download, downloaded, ran.
In 10 minutes, 26 infected areas.
wow

No wonder she runs so badly..

I hope this is genuine as my puter is really slow at the moment so will give this a go.

1763 pieces of infected data..
Surely something wrong, something to do with video egg, the video uploader for bebo...
removed them all, doesnt seem to have changed anything..
But i run with lyk 8-10 windows open, so my comp cant keep up

Anyone with computer knowledge got an opinion?

hmmmm got Nrton and its up in a day or two, want a free one this time as Norton is poo.

Any good ones to replace with? Is there anybody beside saorlba thats used the one in the link before I go playing with it?

Got rid of my Norton software years ago, made my PC run really slow. Used AVG Free since and have had no problems.
But I'll be interested to see what the Tech Heads say

AVG

I use it, our IT guy at work uses it on his home computers, Ibby uses it. No problems so far. The free version updates virsus definitions automatically. I used to have Norton Anti-virus and found it very invasive. It also had a habit of stopping me email working for some reason.

I wouldnt trust me neither :P

My mates computer was really in a bad way..
Cleaned it up fine..

Seems AGV is the way to go...

AGV for sure. It took me nearly 2 hours to completely remove Norton from my computer as it was EVERYWHERE.
