As you all probably know I had an little incident with a bouncing pannier box after my fall over going to the lakes last year
I have taken all the fittings off and put the boxes away Did a swop with Arty for a tailpack which I intended to use instead Being a crap day ,out in the garage, dug them out and started to repair the damaged one. On reflection it isn't going to be all that difficult to repair it,so once its repaired do I refit them or flog them on Fleabay? P.S.Due to the damage if I refit them they will be a permenant fixture as the clip on locks will then be a bolt on fitting so not a 100% but unless pointed out nobody would notice as I have had to pinch the locks for fixing them to the bike to replace the damaged lock for closing them but this means I still only need the same key What to do???????? |

Keep 'em and bolt them on when you're going on longer trips... Thats what I'd do anyway.

I'd be tempted to keep them mac, can you not get the spare bits either from triumph or a breakers over time. If removing them when you park up is desired.

Pegasus,You are a man after my own heart but unfortunately if I did that Lyn would be a woman after my throat--------believe me its true she does not want me to get another one, meaning I keep a bike
![]() ![]() I suppose it makes sense to keep them for longer trips and then it doesn't matter about them being removed as they have internal Triumph holdall type of bags inside. Ah well,I'll get the sprayer out then. |

I will agree to that, but to continue the saga I am having the devil of a job to get the colour match 100%[BRG Pearlesent]. Might be easier to have them both in Black.
I am actually surprised at how heavy the two panniers, bags and fittings are, even when empty,so when loaded must add 50-60lbs to the weight of the bike.Surely a fully loaded expanded tailpack must be only half of this? EAOA |
