alreet again,
I like the central feel to an under seat can, and that its less likely to die in a spill, because ive stripped most of the lights and indys etc im going to almost completely cut off the battery box leaving a little shelf for a slimline battery for the starter. there is no room for the pipes to come up between the shock and the swing arm so i am going to have to potentialy get a new link pipe fabricated to go up around the swing arm, and under.. like the ixils.. maybe i could just buy an ixil link pipe? can anyone think of a reason why this wont work or cannot be done?? I would have thought you'd have to get a link pipe that comes up outside the swingarm as in order to get the correct length in the pipe for the rear cylinder it comes down through the swingarm anyway, so there probably wouldn't be enough room to bring the pipe back up through the swingarm.

You always try going the way of the motogp bikes, one exhaust coming out under the seat (rear cylinder) then one coming off the side of the bike with a little stubby can (front cylinder)

Or just get a proper company to make you a one off system.

Depends what you want, if you want something more based on looks then you could design it yourself bearing in mind how the length will effect performace then get some of the appropriate size tubing and take it to someone with a hydarulic pipe bender.
I you want something more performance suited (bearing in mind that by getting the system to end up underseat it'll be a long length system which probably wont help) then you'd be better going to a smaller custom performance fabricator as they would probably be more willing to make something more bespoke. Time to check all the small adds in mcn i think.... |

or i could just stick with a big bore stubby on an R&G bracket and invest the cash in otther bits for it i guess.. does seem like alot of messing around..
what would you do if you could? |
