Well - it's day 14 today that I've had issues with my bowl and frequent visits to the wc.....Since last Tuesday I've been to the GP 4 times for them to see me and run tests. All have come back clean but I'm still not well!! So I finally convince them that I need to go see a Gastroenterologists and they agree to give me a referal.
Thankfully I've got private medical cover from work but I'm still trying to convince the GP that she needs to refer me to a specific GE and not just in general a GE......oh the fun I'm going to have!! If it's not sorted I'm on the next plane back home when I can just go on the door of the GE and they will see me!! How do they expect me to get better with no meds is beyond me.....and do they actually think I can stay off work for another week??? These people are useless! |

yes, but the doc might not want to mask your systems with drugs before you see the gut man
then again your starting point for the gut man might be with agent picolax

for each instance i've had of claiming/having treatment under my private healthcare i've had no problems at all getting my GP to refer me. why should it be a problem? gets the case of their hands, they dont have to see you anymore, everybodies happy
its easy to take a swipe at the NHS, for me they do a bloody good job. that said, hope you get sorted soon |

Once your in the NHS system, everything is smooth as. I've had 3 hernias, only had one done through the NHS but as it was stated as "emergency" I was in for an op within 3 weeks, I was only 9 at the time.

yesterday was fairly stressful to say the least......which didn't help with my sits
![]() I decided to take matters into my own hands and found a consultant at a nearby hospital, booked an appointment for tomorrow lunch time and called the insurance to let them know. what you know all is fine and I can visit him and they will cover the costs! |
