Hi All,
I used to get this error message once in a while and was a bit annoyed with it all, but now its happening all the time. Sometimes it seems as if its resolved by wiggling the cables to the right of the head stock, but other times it makes no difference. Last time it bother me i took the bike apart and started cleaning up all contacts on all the connectors i could find. With a little research i found out that this error indicates a problem with the security system but that about as much as i could find - something to do with a set resistance on the ignition circuit??? No way to actually resolve it once and for all, not even a way of completely disabling it. Does anyone have any recommendations? Its ****ing me off. |

http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=125789 I fixed it by cleaning the kill switch, when it happens flip it afew times and if fixed it for me. guess the connection was just poor. HTH |

Thanks, was just reading that page. I'll strip the switch down and try and resolve it that way.
Why are bikes, that are obviously designed to be outside, have such crappy electrics? I always had good experiences with japanese electronics in cars, just not the same with suzi ![]() |
