Default I Pod help

Can a nyone help? I was putting more music on my ipod via winamp the other day as I've done a hundred times before and thought nothing more of it. Now, when I try to use it it insists that there is no music on but that it only has 3 gb (out of 80) free. Whats more, winamp doesnt even recognise it as an ipod anymore. Any help people? I'm happy to wipe the ipod and start again, its all on my computer anyway. Right now I cant evn do that.

Google yamipod and use it to remove the music you recently added.

I have seen this before where a single corrupt file can mess up the iPod FS or something and it does that (no music). Removing the file will get yo back to where you were.

The restore option in Itunes does the same thing (pretty much).

Make sure you eject it before unplugging it. That's the cause of most problems with Ipods.

But if he's using winamp, its unlikely that he has a recent backup of his iPod. As you say, eject the thing before unplugging!
