Default A tale to tell:

I'd like to know your most comical/self pleasing moments whilst getting one over on a car driver who are intent on biker hate.

I started writing this in responce to the clipping mirrors topic following calypso67's comment about filtering but thought it too far off topic to post... hence new thred.

Before passing my test I used to commute on a DT using A-Roads to get to work. One morning after filtering through some traffic I reached a set of lights, waiting at the front I could hear someone shouting turned to see a plonker mouthing whilst getting his window down. As the lights went green I let off the clutch an extended a finger (this didnt help). More lights not too far on an he'd caught me back up still irate. He tried to leave his car accross the front of me, I slipped through and carried on. (I'm guessing Everyones had a similar story to this one so far). But the next bit I still think was just brilliant. Anybody who knows J27 of the M62 I'm refering to the lights as you come up from coach and 6 towards the pheasant. You may also be aware of the entrance to the tip to the right, this often has lorrys waiting to pull out heading for the motorway. As I approached this road I encouraged 3 lorrys to pull out by the 3rd I was stationary waving them out. Once those waiting lorrys had thanked me and contiuned I turned round and blew the ***** a kiss. Then set off overtaking down the side of the lorrys leaving him stuck behind. I still laugh when I think of it now.

I won that round

I am aware he may now despise bikers but, I think he already did tbf.

i had a nice one on the A30 in devon/cornwall way

filtering very slowly down the outside of traffic inside the double whites, people moving over a bit and getting a thankyou wave from me, until one guy in a focus st170 decides to pull right out to the white lines to stop me going past

so on we went, me just sitting on his back 3/4, him desperately trying to keep me in view in the RVM and wing mirror, until he doesn't notice the stopped traffic and has to slam on the brakes leaving a few inches gap between him and the car in front

i simply pass him on the inside with a merry wave

made me chuckle

Actually on Saturday at the Peaks rideout, as we were all filtering through Ashbourne. There was this Volvo? 4x4 who decided that 15 bikes filtering past him to turn right, just wasn't going to happen, and as myself and GMS got alongside him he started slowly swerving towards me. He carried on alongside me and GMS and he really wanted to push us out of the so i honked on the horn and flicked the usual stupid ass finger sign, then the other 15 of us fitered our way past him and surrounded so he couldn't get anywhere!
Another on the same day was when myself and Pmapp were bimbling off the M1 to get down a road to Huddersfield on a dual carriage way. Phil was leading and this white van flew down the slip road and nigh on took Phil out, but he was quick enough to move to the other lane, he sped up a bit and then cut him right up, whilst flicking a V at him. I pulled alongside him and gave him the stupid wonker hand signal and got in front too.....the tw$t was on his mobile phone, and hadn;t even bothered to notice he was sharing a road with others

Picture it; I'm on my way to work when a guy in a big fancy Jag cuts me up at a set of lights, missing me by inches because he thought my lane was going faster. So, next set of lights I filter past him making the "use your eyes / mirrors gesture, and for some reason this is much to his amusement.

So, lights go to green and we're off, he's sitting so close to my back wheel I can't even see his headlights in my mirrors; when the road narrows to one lane through a set of roadworks (so I couldn't even let the t*sser past) he's still there, two inches off my tail, weaving back and forth across the road.

Past the roadworks, back into two lanes and he pulls in to try and overtake me on the nearside. Now, I'm already going a wee bit faster than I probably should be , he's trying to go faster, a quick glance to my left shows him laughing and shaking his head, like he thinks I'm wringing the bikes' neck to try and keep up Something about this situation brought out the contrary bitch in me...

I stayed level with him, keeping him in the inside lane and once sure I had his full attention.... turned briefly, winked...... and braked for the Gatso.

It is truly obscene how much delight I took watching him sail through it at 45mph to my serene 30. He was still shaking his head when I filtered past him at the next set of lights but he wasn't smiling

And before you tell me what a silly girl I am, I know I shouldn't have risen to it, I just couldn't help myself... muahahahahahahahahaha...
