Thumbs down Nearly fell off!!

Going towards Sutton from Ely on the A142 after The Maltings approx. 2 pm today. A small red car (Reg W189 XEB) with impatient driver suddenly overtook and immediately pulled in front of us (had my wife as pillion) followed by additional hand gesture. There was not enough space for her to pull in between us and the car in front, which caused me to do emergency breaking at 55mph; nearly shook hands with the asphalt. I completely lost it and pointed to the left asking her to pull over but she pulled away.

Cambridge Parkside Police Station is unable to do anything, as I have no independent witness. Next time I'll pull one out of my back pocket.

Blimey, thats crazy

Glad you got away with it though. I guess there isnt alot you can do, but if she is a repeat offender and more and more people call in reporting her erratic driving, she may get a knock on the door from mr plod

Cheers. Yes I would have followed until either I ran out of fuel or he/she came to a stop. But my wife was distressed enough and I didn't want to do that to her.

What goes around comes around.

Not worth the hassle when you are two up. You would just stress your missus out even more.

Hope youse enjoyed the rest of your run.

Cops are ****ing useless. I have been shot at ("just" with an air rifle) twice and they still were not bothered. "Oh, do you want a crime reference number for your insurance?"

True enough! I suppose we'll have to learn to live with this sort of thing.

I hope she will. Or maybe it was a he with long hair. But she needs to be taught a lesson. There was no reason for her action, completely unprovoked.

Ah yes we had a nice day out in Ely, been to the Maltings. Will stick a pic in " East Anglian Revolution" section. Cheers.

Thank you both. Wife is fine. I get wound up far more easily than her. She's looking forward to Stonehenge and Brighton at Easter plus Europe in May as a pillion.
