No, theres to many variables and an awful lot depends on how you look after the chain.

You'll get more life out of the chain if you lube it after every ride, 100 miles or so is better. Lube it after the ride when the chains warm as the lube will soak into the chain better that way.

My OEM set lasted about 15K, but as Fizz says, make, rider, maintenance, scottoiler, weather, power of bike, all make a difference.

Lobe is whats on the bottom of your ears so dont be putting bit of your ear on your chain it wont do it or your ear any good
![]() Lube every 100 miles or so, Clean maybe once a week, it depends on how many miles you do, what sort of weather you've been riding in. i.e. ride through a winter and you'll see how much harder life your chain gets due to salt, water, mud and dirt getting at it. It all adds up the wear. Personally I can't be arsed with cleaning and lubing that frequently, so my GSXR has a scotoiler on it. Bikes done 19000 miles and I've never ever adjusted the chain on it.

+ 1 On what Fizz says.
Definately lube your chain much more often than every 600 miles. Clean every now and again too. If you can see nice shiny silver rollers from the chain then your chain's in good need of a lube. ![]()
