Haven't been on the board for a long while! Sorry if there already exist many other threads about this... feel free to point this out to me with appropriate doses of light hearted sarcasm
![]() Anyway, SV650s, '56 model. All totally standard. Considering replacing can this summer want some ideas/thoughts. I looked at Fuel last year, and a nice chap from here offered me a Scorpion, but we didn't get it together (I dithered a bit, as you can tell as I still have the standard exhaust) Not got a huge budget, can't afford full systems etc., or something that will require a PC3 (had one, never fitted it, sold it again!) Of course, I may yet decide to sell at the end of the year (might move away) - in which case probably best to keep standard!!! Contributions and suggestions from experienced SV brains most welcome Tim (London/SE) |

Have a read here, theres a whole section dedicated to exhausts
http://forums.sv650.org/forumdisplay.php?f=137 Budget Cans : Carbon Can Company Fuel IIRC £110 ish on ebay... If you have a bit more money then : Remus If your just fitting an end can then dont bother with a power commander IMHO they're a waste of time. The only really come into play if you are going down the full system with air filter route.

Bought mine purely for sound, cut the pipe in no time with a Dremmel and slipped on nicely. Baffle easy to remove and refit with a self tapper, keep under your seat if your heading up to North Wales Injun territory when the Taliban are on a purge

I'd be scared of screwing up with the cutting!! but once cut, it just sits on? doesn't need to be bound in any way?

Scorpion Street Extreme Titanium Edition , bellows like a camel taking a cow from behind by surprise
![]() Cutting the pipe is easy , you then effectively lose the ability to use the original can ..... BUT , you can buy a link pipe to put it back on if you wish , new can just slips over the old pipe and is secured in place with an exhaust ring clamp and you can also add a bit of Holts Firegum or similar to the join if you so wish . I have a video on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jyRRCYSZzE Last edited by xXBADGERXx; 10-04-09 at 09:48 AM. |

Another option is the Beowulf cans, lovely gruff note with a deep rumble, had the street extreme before and although it was much louder it was harsher and more of a fart than an engine note
![]() Matches the napoleon blue very well too: ![]()
