Default Belly-pan help!

Hi All,

Just got my hands on a belly-pan by a company called Ricambi-Weiss and it looks like this: http://images.motoso.de/4bd/fa7/eae/53948/l_img3938.jpg

Bad news is that it came with no fitting brackets or instructions whatsoeva!

It looks very similar to this belly-pan made by company called Hagen: http://www.hagenmotorsport.de/media/...iler-large.jpg

Has anyone dealt with either company? and do you know where i can get some brackets from? I can make some myself, but its a lot of hassle...

Cheers

Have you offered it up to see if it will use an existing bolt on the SV ? , I have a genuine one and it doesn`t go as high up to the engine as that one does and uses brackets .

the front two holes are close to the engine case but dont match exactly to any of the bolts, and the pan is wider than the case, so i will need brackets...

I modified an SV1K bellypan with a dremmel and rattle cans. I made some brackets out of strips of ally. TBH, I think you're going to have to make some brackets up of your own, as standard brackets probably won't be compatible with that bellypan. The brackets are sooo easy to make as well. Just match the closest engine bolt with the holes in the bellypan. HTH

You can make some nice brackets from Aluminium , buy it at around the 3mm thick gauge , very easy to cut and file ..... if you were nearer I would make you some to suit that Bellypan if you bought the materials

That's exactly what I used 3mm ally. It's very plyable and easy to work with, but try not to bend it too much, as it will snap. Very easy to dril through as well.

Only way to get around the bending/snapping issue is to heat it up and bend it but it`s more hassle , He should be able to make them quite easy to fit , and if the bracket is a little bit away from the bellypan then thread the screw through , put a nut on it and run it up to take up the space and then insert into the hole in your bracket and put another nut on the back of that , if that makes sense to you ?

yea, in the process of making some temporary brackets, just so that the belly-pan is on. need to get a hold of some ally. then it wont be a prob to fab something up.
