Default Fogtech anti-misting solution

Three words: WASTE OF MONEY!

I've tried this stuff out a few times now to stop my dark visor fogging up and no matter how carefully I apply it to the inside of my visor, I end up with blurring / streak marks that are just as distracting as having a misted-up visor!

The past couple of mornings riding into work I've gained a lot of insight into what it must be like to have failing eyesight. One morning the blurring was so bad there is no way I could have read a numberplate at the required legal distance.

I will be buying & fitting a pinlock insert like the one I have on my clear visor, and in the meantime this stuff is going in the bin!

Tried many anti-fog treatments and still the best is washing up liquid. Needs to be applied regularly tho.

Haha much better ta, I was having a poo day at work when I wrote that, can you tell?

@ kurtis randle - I've seen pinlock kits on the internet that I think you can retro-fit to any visor, I'm planning on trying one of those.

The pinlock / double glazing visor thing is the best solution. The next best is having on of those breath masks.

Coating the inside of the visor with a fluorinated subtance would also work, but this would be difficult to do and expensive

I wouldnt buy a new helmet just to get a pinlock visor if that's what you mean? Chap at the local bike shop said it is normally about 30-odd quid for a new visor with the pinlock insert fitted.

I was just going to get the pinlock kit though. Racevisors.co.uk, see here: http://www.racevisors.co.uk/category/pinlock has loads of pinlock kits for all sorts of visors.
