Finger tingle

First Hi to one and all , just bought a shiney 2002 650s and been enjoying it very much but after 70 kms or so I have numb fingers any advice on hoe to cure this would be greatfuly recieved, please keep the answers above your navels

inner gloves?
A combo of winter gloves and inner gloves keep ya warm or heated gloves if you're posh, or heated grips are an option.

From Wiki - this sounds like what you've got. Hubby used to get the same thing on his scooter.

Vibration White Finger (VWF) is a secondary form of Raynaud's disease, an industrial injury triggered by continuous use of vibrating hand-held machinery. Use of the term Vibration White Finger has generally been superseded by Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome or HAVS. The symptoms of VWF are the vascular component of HAVS.

Just don't grip so hard, and use your fingers more to grip the throttle rather than the palm...if this makes sense. Worked for me.

Absolutely not! If you knew someone with VWF you would appreciate that a bit of tingling the fingers is VERY different.

The OP's problem is most likely due to the lever / riding position problems already pointed out (as is your Hubby's problem)

and for me..being a new rider i was gripping too hard resulting in numb fingers... dropping the levers down a bit helped too..?

This appears to be an extremely common problem. My fingers get so numb that I can hardly operate the clutch or front brake, I also get such bad pins and needles that it makes me want to scream! After a weekends riding I was up at 4am this morning with pains so severe in my left hand and arm that I had to take Ibuprofen to try and calm it down. I haven`t ridden for nearly 24 hours and my fingers still have pins and needles and the ends of the fingers on my left hand are totlaly numb.

I do suffer with a condition called fibro myalgia which in itself causes pins and needles and I`m sure it doesn`t help. I don`t think I grip the bars too tight and I`m not fastening my gloves too tight either... other people have mentioned grip with your knees but this is very difficult for me. My riding position is to be sat almost on the tank because I have short arms and have to stretch to reach the handlebars and also stretch to reach the clutch, it`s very difficult to grip the tank when you`re practically sat on it! The position of my levers have been adjusted and today my clutch has been altered slightly so I`m hoping this might help.

I`ve been told time and time again that what I need is a comfort kit so that i`m not having to stretch so much etc and this is what I am finally planning on doing. Hopefully this will eliminate all or at a least a large part of the problem. I suggest that you also look at your clutch span and the position of your levers as this has helped me slightly on shorter trips.

I'm the same, I assumed it was just cold. But I don't really get why I can go out on a sunny day in winter gloves and still get a really numb tingly hand (particularly the right).
When me ploppy, greek and orose rode from sheffield to near preston (or somewhere lol) I was the one with heated inner gloves AND winter gloves and when we pulled up at the services I couldn't feel my fingers for around half an hour.

I used to get this a lot before I adjusted the levers downwards.

I still get it to some extent after a couple of hours riding, however warm the weather.

There is now a clear difference between cold induced numbess and any other sort.
Cold induced starts with the thumbs. I also know for sure that when this sets in its going to hurt even more as things warm up when I stop. Keeping the gloves on and letting things warm up slowly helps a litle with this.

Anything else is vibration, grip, angle, just too long on the bike etc.
