Default Spec me some really good indicator-mirrors

OK, so... Just spent some time monkeying about with the SV today and enjoyed it more than I have for a while, so, time to try and get my big project back on track. And the first thing I need to figure out is mirrors. Now, the curvy mirrors are brilliant- they work, they're quite big, and they pop in and out so I can filter or go through the garage door without always readjusting. Result. But, is there anything out there with in-built indicators that does the same, ie pops in and out to the same position each time? Also got to not look like they fell out of a cracker!

Motrax do (or did) some that are alright, as in big enough to be useable and with an indicator of a reasonable size, but didn't have the "pop in & out" of the original SV ones, likewise the GSXR mirrors are ok, but lack that feature as well.

I did modify a standard SV (curvy) mirror sometime ago, by cutting a slot in the bottom and affixing some ultra-bright amber leds threw holes in the front, I then plastic welded the bottom back in place, but to be honest they were white when unlit and didn't look good, however if you could get smoked or dark ones it might be worth a shot

Just a thought.

Cheers Mark.

I saw something about GSXR ones fitting recently , the new ones with the LED strip on the back of them , dunno if it is true or not but might be worth investigating

I looked at this too and passed on it so I'm fitting the indicators to the hand guards instead.

I'm not too bothered about how they fit, for various reasons, I just don't want to end up with mirrors which are less good than the SV's But it's that pop-in/out thing which is probably the biggest deal for me, my front garage door doesn't work (and is buried in stuff anyway) so I need to take the bike out the back door (which is narrower than the handlebars) and then down the side of the house every day.

Plus, i've never yet made it back from work without having the mirrors popped in at least once

I suspect recent sportsbike ones mostly do what I'm after?

I also saw some Indies that had been removed from some bar ends and those had been fitted into Mirrors and wiring extended to suit , another idea

GSX-R K6 onwards mirrors. Indicator in the back and they fold in and out. They are quite stiff to pop in and out but that's a good thing as they don't flap around. About the best you're gonna get I think

Yes, the K6- one do pop in and out, but they are stiffer than a stiff thing that's very stiff

Northy, if you want measurements for the mounting bolts to see what mods need doing, Sam's GSX-R is in bits for the time being, so I can do it easily.
