Extras for the SV650sport (god save the gas companies!)

Ok

I just got off the british gas and they've been overcharging me to the tune of 350 ish quid and so i'm getting this back.

Now I was wondering if I should spend this on the following;

Which is £177 - 10% (offer from the garage).

I'm just wondering is there any other mods you would recommend?? These 3 are the most obvious ones, I could even drop the hugger but my ER6F with no hugger it sprayed crap all over the back of the engine and onto the exhaust. So i'd like to keep that for easier cleaning.

Plus will those all fit an 09reg SV650Sport K9??

Avoid those crash bungs like the plague, all they do in a crash is cause more damage, buy some motosliders or R&G's, anything else but these. I had them and they destroyed my fairing and i believe i am not the only person on the forum to suffer the same problem.
The hugger i would say is a good investment i have the suzuki one on my SV.

Hugger and tank protector are a good idea. As for the crashbungs, get some motosliders instead. They're superior than the R&Gs for the SV and work out cheaper even though they come from the states. They require a tiny amount of modding to the lowers on the Sport, but I'm told this is easy to do and worth it for the extra protection. Saying that, if you don't want to modify your fairings get the R&Gs.. they're still better than nothing.

If you've still got the standard can on your SV, change that for a slip on with what you've got left over

Good skills. I can only reiterate the above statments with regards to the 'crash' bungs. Much beter alternatives out there. Im also still not convinced by huggers other than costmetic. I used to have the Suauki hugger and it craked at every monting point over a few years. I went back tot he 'cr*p flap' and my show is no more nor no less dirty than with the hugger. Try to find an aftermarket hugger that has rubber monting points. Im sure there is someone out there that do this.

Motosliders now do bungs which fit full-faired bikes, i think. It's on their website. So no mods necessary.

Can't recommend the tank covers as they tend to knacker the paint underneath, especially if you get them wet. They do come with a warning on to this effect.

Well can you recommend another form of tank protector?

I guess the baglux tank covers would be an option, although I'm not a fan of the leather tank look. If you're thinking of getting a tank bag anyway, that'd kill two birds with one stone as they say

Surely some cheap 50p washers from an electrical place will do the trick??

Deffo the R&G's or Motosliders if they do them without mods necessary. My R&G's did a great job when I had my off.

I got a hugger and then took it off as I didn't feel it added anything.

I would definately invest £25 in a Stebel Nautilus airhorn, in my opinion it's the best 'pound for pound' mod you can do to your bike. The stock horn is known to stop working during a ride as the heat from the radiator (where it's mounted) stops the piezo mechanism working. I used mine this morning to stop someone moving into my lane on the M-way, he'd checked his mirrors but I was in his blind spot, a quick blast on the Stebel and he was right back into his lane and apologising profusely.

A pair of paddock stands to make cleaning the bike, checking/lubing your chain and any maintenance work more easy.

I hadnt thought about paddock stands they would be useful any recommendations?

I find visibility not to be an issue atm.
