Cheers, John Business Continuity Analyst – Algorithmic Trading One of Europe’s largest hedge funds with approximately $16bn* of assets under management and a reputation as one of London’s premier investment houses. The firm started operating in 2000 and has been a leader in the European hedge fund business since. The firm possesses a high-profile client list and has received numerous awards for the superior performance of its investment products. It now has approximately 340 employees working in London and possesses additional offices in Chicago, Singapore, New York, Boston and Frankfurt. Investment activities started in discretionary fixed income and foreign exchange trading and have expanded to encompass a broad variety of investment products and trading strategies since. Our most successful business is Systematic Trading, which focuses on the mathematical modelling of market prices in conjunction with highly computerized trading. This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile individual to act at the interface of trading, IT and quantitative modelling. The successful candidate will possess a quantitative IT background, basic financial knowledge, and a keen desire to learn about markets and automated trading algorithms. 2-4 yrs financial systems experience is a considerable plus, ideally in an investment banking environment. The successful applicant will grow quickly to become an important member of the Systematic Trading team, helping to develop and operate software that is constantly pushing the frontiers of modern trading technology. Now if you were looking for someone to help facilitate a transition to an Open Source platform, hence saving costs on the Microsoft Tax burden then I would be your guy.
But you are not, so I will make my position clear, I'm Out ![]()

![]() Bankers/Traders are the same difference. Traders take just as big a risk. That why some hedge funds have halfed in value or have gone all together in some cases.

Not interested by the way as I found reference to team in the original post. As my boss will testify Tim does not do teams.
