Default Today I have been mostly tinkering.

... I have been mostly tinkering.

I've sorted out a couple of odds & ends with the bike. Jobs that I've been meaning to get around to, but they haven't been annoying enough to put much effort into it.

So today I fixed my "AC in places that AC shouldn't be" issue (that was caused by one of the electro-horns), put liquid metal on the rear subframe to hold my luggage rack more steady (MOT coming up ) and adjusted the clutch properly (it worked fine before, but was a little flappy at the outer extremity).

Next week I'll sort the brakes, and then after that the oil leak.

All in all, I love the summer, mainly for the fact the sun stays up longer. I only stopped about half an hour ago.

So, what have you been doing with your bike this sunny Saturday?

Been gazing at it through the window! Dissertation is due in on Monday so unfortunately no time for bike! Glad you enjoyed your day though, not jealous, honest.

I've been cleaning it. It was well overdue. It is now bug-free and the rear wheel is no longer black from the scot-oiler. Still needs a new tyre though

Woke up a little hung over. Went to garage to put my boots on, tripped over it, kicked the dog, fell onto vacuum cleaner, dust everywhere... dog in a sulk with me, garage covered in dust.

Oh then went out on it for a bit a few hours later. Good fun, hot roads, sticky tyres. Demolished a group of guys on sportsbikes.

Since 2pm I've oiled chain, ridden 70 miles to look at some puppies, then got home and did a quick oil and filter change .

Went outlate afternoon, and exactly nothing felt right about it. Stopped for a coffee, forgot about how the bike felt and blasted back, which was much better. Kept up with dad too, until he sailed past a car i couldnt. 2 up restricted curvy doesnt accelerate terribly quickly once at 70
