Default Prexport leathers

Does anyone have Prexport leathers or know if they're any good?

I think blueSV650S used to race in them and took some length to find another set, or maybe they were texport. Have a search for posts by him about them.

Edit: a quick search turns up it was texport that blue650s liked

yes i do...

i have 2 sets.

good points are: the leather is of good quality and they are a good cut/fit.

bad points are: the stitching is only single row and the zips are a bit crap.

to be fair though i have looked at a number of well known makes and they are no better or worse up to about the £300-400 price mark.

if you are getting them cheep then fine. dont pay over £150 for a 2 piece (new).

i dont expect them to last more than 2 seasons (road use).

i also have a pair of their gloves which are really good if a bit on the tight side, also have a pair of their boots which are ace for summer use. although i use my black rains all the time as the prexport boots are red/black/white. i got a full set of red/black/white boots/suit/gloves for £180 if i remember. the blue/black/white set i got was about £100.

I'm on my second pair of their boots. Very light and comfy and they last quite a long time. I eventually wore out the sole on my last pair but the leather was still in excellent shape. Can't tell you if they are as waterproof as they claim as, well, er...
