Exclamation temperature light

sv650s k1 curvey 2001. (get that out the way as i forget lol)

right this monring on way to work the temperature light come on about 1/2 mile from my home if that so the bike wasnt even hot as it had been sitting all night.

turned the ignition of and back on started bike back up and the light flickered and went out.

what could the problem be?

Connector jumped off the temperature sender and is touching the engine intermittently, or a dodgy wire.

YC do you know where the sensor is and will go looking for it and check the wiring

The side of the thermostat housing, it's a little brass bolt head looking thing with a spade connector on top.

It's NOT the one on the rad, that just controls the fan, not the light.

Also ensure it was the temp light and not the oil light that came on.

I thought that was what he meant I didn't think (can't remember) there was a temperperature light

the oil light is where the indy and gear light is (6 lights)

the temp light the one that come on, on my bike was the one in the speedo, and is the only light built into this
