One of the instrument bulbs on my curvy SVS has gone so the rev counter's completely dark after 7K. Owner's manual says 12V 0.84W for the replacement bulb but the Haynes manual says 14V 0.84W - pretty sure the Haynes is a typo because I've never heard of a 14V bulb on a bike before but I just wanted to check that.
Also, where can I get the bulb from? Lowest 12V bulb wattage I've found on the net is 2W. Thanks. |

If I was you while you've got the clocks apart change all the bulbs, sods law dictates that if you don't within days another bulb will blow!
I changed mine for LEDs a while ago, got them from www.ultraleds.co.uk these ones... http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/wide-angl...ue-p-1428.html

Are those LEDs a straight swap or is any re-wiring required?

Installed those bulbs and they look nice, although they're quite focused - there's a very bright area around 30mph on the speedo compared to everywhere else.
However, rev counter's still dark after 6-7k. I'm guessing this means the circuit board's broken somewhere: any chances it's fixable or is a new board the only option? |

can get the bulbs direct from Halfords to.
To check your circuit, remove the circuit speedo board from the housing, and follow the bulb element line round. If damage you might see it on the conductive line. Can use solder, conductive ink pens, or short wire accross from supply of bulb to bulb location. Need do mine but just cant be bothered getting round to it! |
