Default Snorkelectomy on a pointy ?

How does one carry out the removal of the snorkel on a k7 pointy, had a quick look and it seems to be part of the air box cover ............do I need to cut it off ?

Take the airbox lid off. The snorkel then just unclips. Easy Peasy

And if you dont want to go for the full snorkelectomy, an SV1000 one will just slip in instead.

Do it today, takes 10minutes. I swapped mine for an SV1000 snorkel

Yup. Horny honk from the airbox, directly below yer ears. That and a pipe is the total opposite to the antiseptic angry sewing machine of OE. TUNES!

i cut mine to feed more 'fresh' air. seems to have done the trick..

it now sits level with the gap between the tank and the frame, where as before it used to sit down inside the frame sucking 'hot' air from the engine.

might make it run lean unless you remap... unless the K7 has some cleverer sensors than the older pointies.
